The Wayfarer in Motion
A series of paintings I made for the group exhibition “The Wayfarer in Motion” at Tang Contemporary Bangkok
2025.11.29 - 2026.01.11
“In this series of works, Duairak explores the idea of the unknown journey through a whimsical dreamscape. There are moments in life when we feel lost or uncertain about which path to take toward our goals. She often questions whether the goals she pursues are truly her own dreams or if the goals themselves are even real.
Each painting portrays a different stage or perspective of this ongoing journey. The world Duairak creates is inspired by various landscapes she has encountered—many featuring desert terrains and organic forms. Through her imaginative characters, Duairak expresses the search for meaning and direction within these surreal environments.
Duairak uses watercolor and colored pencil to create a dreamy and childlike quality within her work.”
